The third delegation chapter resonates deeply with the timeless wisdom found in Micah 6:8 “walk humbly with your God”. It’s a poignant reminder of our vulnerability as human beings and the distractions that can lead us astray from our core values and purpose in life as religious.

Throughout the discussions at this chapter, there’s a perceptible sense of humility among the Fathers. It’s a humbling experience, acknowledging our dependence on God’s grace and the importance of remaining steadfast in our spiritual journey. Without this divine guidance, our lives would lack meaning and vitality.

Brother Hardey Aguilar, CRM, shares his perspective as a first-time participant in the chapter. He expresses gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such a significant gathering, previously only an observer from afar. His words reflect the humility and awe felt in being entrusted with this responsibility, recognizing God’s constant presence and protection over the Delegation and the whole Order.

As the chapter reaches its halfway point, there’s a prevailing sense of inspiration fueled by the Holy Spirit. Despite the challenges, the Chapter Fathers are making significant strides in their deliberations, guided by their shared commitment to the well-being of the Delegation and the Order.

The journey ahead involves further discussion and decision-making, with proposals to be carefully considered and ultimately presented in Rome at the General Chapter for approval. It is a demonstration of the collective effort and dedication of the Chapter Fathers in steering the course of the US-Philippines Delegation.

Fr. Emiliano Gutierrez, CRM a new delegate to the chapter, acknowledges the inherent challenges, particularly in sharing reports from various houses. Yet, amidst these challenges, there’s a profound sense of camaraderie and mutual support among the Fathers. This spirit of brotherhood fosters an environment of acceptance and understanding, where strengths and weaknesses are embraced with charity.

Looking beyond the chapter, the path of the US-Philippines delegation seems clearer yet uncertain. However, one thing remains constant – the unwavering commitment of the Adorno Fathers to serve others and lead them closer to Jesus. Their mission is rooted in fostering personal relationships and exemplifying holiness, all for the greater glory of the Risen Christ.

The delegation chapter serves as a reminder of our shared journey in faith and the importance of humility, fraternity, and unwavering commitment to live and share the Charism of the Order.
