The Adorno Fathers Theologate in Silang, Cavite Philippines had a special day on May 5, 2024. Five brothers, who had previously made simple vows of chastity, property, obedience, and humility, renewed those vows. This ceremony was significant, as it marked their commitment to their faith and their order.

Fr. Ted Kalaw, the Superior General of the Adorno Fathers, led the ceremony. In his homily during the evening prayer, he talked about love and sacrifice. He emphasized how these values are essential in the lives of the brothers, both in their studies and in their future roles as Adornos. Love for the order and a willingness to make sacrifices are crucial aspects of their journey.

The renewal of vows is not just a formality; it’s a reaffirmation of their dedication to their calling. As they continue their studies and prepare for ordination, the brothers are reminded of the importance of these vows. Aided by Fr. Kevin Daborbor, their local superior and Br. Hardey Aguilar, the coadjutor brother, they look forward to completing their education and embracing their roles in the world, ready to fulfill the mission of their order.

For these brothers, the renewal of vows is not the end but the beginning of a new chapter. They are eager to live out the values and principles of their order, spreading love and serving others with humility and obedience. Their journey is just beginning, and they are ready to embrace whatever challenges and joys lie ahead. The names of those who newly renewed their vows are:
