“There were long proceedings and it was a rather long day yesterday but the rapport between the religious was extraordinary and very productive” says one of the chapter delegates who was amazed at how efficient everyone was.

As the first USA-Philippines Delegation Chapter was approved by the General Diet in Rome in 2015, the delegation superior and his council made sure that the delegation chapter would convene before the General Chapter in Rome in July this year.

So many things happened in the life of the Order and in this delegation since 2015. Among other things, was the opening of the house in Sumter, South Carolina when the Adorno Fathers came to serve the people of Saint Anne and Saint Jude Catholic Church.

The Hospital Chaplaincy was opened also at Hackensack Hospital in New Jersey. Religious Professions and Ordinations have taken place with much joy and fervor.

Fr. Raffaelle Mandolesi, CRM, Superior General of the Order emphasized the openness to the Holy Spirit and for the response for the need to develop a sense of mission. He adds that the strength of each religious lies in the community. It is paramount that in all religious houses and rectories, the community life of the Adorno Fathers and Brothers is protected and considered sacred.

Community life is at the heart of our religious life and challenges us to journey together always in a spirit of seeing Christ in our brothers. As the Constituion of the Order states: “Common is God, common is the commitment to perfection, common are the difficulties, common the work, common the salvation, common finally will be the glory” (Const. 69 Chapter IV)

Reporting continues today and to be followed by deliberations of proposals.
