The mission works of the Adorno Fathers in Congo, DRC began in 1984. With a mission area of 2400 square kilometers and population of about 80,000 at that time, the first Adornos came to Nyamilima to establish the missions to teach the faith, educate the people on laws and rights, and humanitarian works.

The Saint Francis Caracciolo mission which started in the village of Nyamillima, grew into a fertile ministry which includes a parish, a hospital and elementary schools that are growing in numbers every year.

Out of this mission in Nyamallima, the Adorno Fathers were blessed with so many local vocations to the religious life. as of 2019, the mission in Africa produced forty-three (43) solemn professed priests and brothers combined.

In 2011, the Adorno Fathers expanded its mission from Nyamillima to the town of Kaseghe, part of the Diocese of Butemno in Beni, DRC. There are two priests assigned to work as community builders in the parish as well as religious brothers who are helping them. They are also ministering to a school that that the parish supports and became part of the mission of the Adorno Fathers. The school offers Elementary and Secondary Education. With limited facilities, and amenities of a school, the students thrive to learn every day from their dedicated teachers. The school buildings continue to need repairs and to add much needed items in the classrooms such as black boards, chalks, books, and notebooks.

The mission in Kharumwa Tanzania began in 2019. Part of the expansion of the Adorno Fathers mission in Africa, there are three priests assigned to work in the parish and to strengthen to school which offers Elementary Education. The mission is in a poor area and the missionaries work hard to educate the people especially children to alleviate the status of living.

One of the essential parts of this mission is to build a school for children who are not going to an actual school. The plan has been laid out and the construction is ongoing. The office of the mission is grateful for all donations and help to make this project a reality.

We rely on the generosity of the people who are willing to help us in our mission especially in educating less fortunate children in this part of the world.
