During the Hallowed Eve of October 31, 2017, the whole Order of the Clerics Regular Minor – Adorno Fathers and Brothers welcomed Brother Benjamin J. Weiskircher, CRM as the newest Simple Professed Brother. It was a great evening of celebration which was well attended by his family, friends, parishioners and guests. The presider and preacher of the Holy Mass was Rev. Fr. Ted Kalaw, CRM, Delegate Superior of the Adorno Fathers – US-Philippine Delegation, and concelebrated with eleven Adorno and Diocesan priests.
After a number of years, the Order of Clerics Regular Minor was gifted with another American-born vocation to the religious life. Brother Ben was, born in the state of Michigan and grew up in the City of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He is the only son of Jim and MJ Weiskercher and was raised as a faithful Catholic and parishioner of Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina, which is under the administration and guidance of the Adorno Fathers.
Brother Ben entered the Saint Michael’s House of Studies in Ramsey, New Jersey in 2013 and stayed there for two years while finishing his philosophical studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary – School of Theology in Seton Hall University. In 2015, he went to the Philippines for his Canonical Year of Novitiate under the guidance of Fr. Michael Marotta, CRM. Brother Ben will continue his formation with the Adorno Fathers while taking his Theological Studies and soon will be solemnly professed and ordained as a religious priest of Christ in the Order of Clerics Regular Minor.
